OHSWEKEN (Monday, December 2, 2022) — Michael Commandant is the newest member of the SNCC workforce, acting as the Six Nations Community Member Cannabis Industry Advisor to help consult the commissioners with decisions on cannabis regulation, as well as keeping them up to date on relevant information.
As a community member, medical cannabis user, cannabis extract manufacturer, and former dispensary owner Commandant brings years of essential experience and expertise that will aid in the evolution of the SNCC.
“I am looking forward to working with the Six Nations Cannabis Commission as I believe in what they are trying to accomplish, and that is to keep the community educated as well as the Cannabis safe for the consumers and out of children’s hands, “ Commandant said.
In terms of what he wants to see the SNCC achieve, he said “I would like to see the commission license as many local shops/dispensaries & producers as possible. For future endeavors, it would be amazing to see a Six Nations-based testing facility and extract lab that hopefully can sell to other territories, as well as off-territory dispensaries.”
“I want to help the commission generate revenue in as many ways as possible, to give back to the community in the form of initiatives such as minor sports, our fair, the Santa clause parade, bread and cheese, and so much more” he added.
